Welcome! We are Bennett Park Montessori. Buffalo’s only public Montessori school.

Located on Clinton St. in downtown Buffalo, we welcome students from pre-school (age 3) to 8th grade. Bennett Park Montessori is a special place. Our educational method focuses on the whole child, encompassing intellectual, physical, social and emotional development, and our highly-trained teachers and carefully prepared, sensory-rich classroom environments encourage children to learn through curiosity and desire.

Do you have a middle school student? This coming year, we’re thrilled to introduce a new middle school STEAM and Social Justice Curriculum including advanced math and science sequences, arts and music (walking field trips, camping trips, swimming, african drumming, and more).

Think Bennett Park Montessori might be a great fit for your child? Read more about what our community has to offer below, or get in touch with our parent engagement liaison Tina Núñez via email BPS32.PEL@Gmail.com, or phone/text 716.579.5114.

Explore our classrooms

A Montessori classroom is different than a traditional classroom. The classroom, or prepared environment, consists of appealing, hands-on activities called work. The work materials are designed to enable students to move around the room, working independently.

Our highly-trained Montessori teachers create a warm and supportive community in order to meet each child’s learning needs. Teachers are not dependent on textbooks and worksheets, but use the Montessori classroom materials to guide independent learning. Students learn to manage their own community and in doing, develop lifelong collaborative and leadership skills.

Our classrooms include multiple age levels, and students loop with their teachers, creating indelible bonds.

The world outside the classroom

At Bennett Park Montessori, we see the whole world as our classroom, and encourage our students to explore. Although the past year has kept us close to home, normally our field trips take us everywhere from the Darwin Martin House to Griffis Sculpture Park. Our M.O.L.E. group (Montessori Outdoor Learning Experience) hosts annual festivals, and cultivates our very own vegetable garden!

Art, Music, Discovery, Play

Our school has a rich tradition of encouraging the arts, and believes deeply in discovery and play.

Still have questions? Meet Tina!

Hi, my name is Tina Núñez. I have been a parent at Bennett Park Montessori for 4 years, and I am honored to be the Parent Engagement Liaison for Buffalo Public School No. 32. My experience at Bennett Park has been nothing short of transformative for myself and my child. I believe that it takes a village to prepare a child for life, and the Montessori Community has been that village for us over the years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share the amazing nurturing environment that I have come to know, with all the families that pass through our doors.

Please feel free to reach out to me, I am always available by text and email.
