MCA

Montessori Community Association

We are parents, family members, alums, and teachers, who support families at Bennett Park Montessori. We provide a voice for families in our public school, and we create and host events to benefit our students. We practice the school's Montessori goals of equity, peace, and justice.

We are not your ordinary PTO. Please join us.

Tina Núñez, Parent Engagement Liaison

TIna.jpg

Hi, my name is Tina Núñez. I have been a parent at Bennett Park Montessori for 4 years, and I am honored to be the Parent Engagement Liaison for Buffalo Public School No. 32. My experience at Bennett Park has been nothing short of transformative for myself and my child. I believe that it takes a village to prepare a child for life, and the Montessori Community has been that village for us over the years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share the amazing nurturing environment that I have come to know, with all the families that pass through our doors.

As the Parent Engagement Liaison, I provide outreach and support for our families throughout the academic year. In addition to maintaining our parent room and free clothes pantry, I get to know our families and students through the many events hosted by our school community. I also lead tours on a monthly basis for both current and prospective families, so that everyone can feel welcome and oriented in our building.

As a longtime single mother and sole provider, I also understand the challenges that come with modern parenting. Building connections with your child’s school community can be especially challenging while juggling a busy schedule. While it is my sincere hope that every family can find the time to come to all of our events – I am happy to provide a voice and a presence in the school and district for those who can’t always be there.

I regularly attend monthly Montessori Community Association (MCA) meetings, School Based Management Team (SBMT) meetings, Buffalo Parent Teacher Organization (BPTO) meetings, disproportionality training workshops, and maintain a rapport with our teachers, administrators, and elected officials on behalf of our parents. Through my work, I hope to unite families and educators in a seamless supportive environment, with a focus on each students’ wellbeing and achievement.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns your family may have; I am always available by text and email.

Sincerely,

Tina BPS32.PEL@Gmail.com
